They shipped the book quite soon. I do not think this book is brand new, because I find the cover of the book is not flat. Maybe that is because of shipping.
It could contain more examples and more interesting tips. Barron's gives you the needed basics when it comes to vocab and math part of the GRE. All in all, it will help you prepare yourself and will give you the needed tools to succeed. A good point to note is that it contains two full tests and a diagnostic test, giving you the chance to see where your weaknesses lie. Its list of words is quite extensive and the mathematics review is useful for those who have been distant from math for a while. I did however find the Essay section a bit dry.

If you are looking for an extensive math review, I probably would supplement this with another book, or look for another book altogether. I just took the GRE general exam and saw a problem identical to a practice problem in the Barron's book. The "Math Review" material is concise, covering general ideas and trends found in the GRE. This book didn't come with a cd-rom, so I can't comment on that. There are only 2-3 full-length practice exams offered, which also might be a problem for some people, but you can find extra practice exams on the GRE website. It offers some good testing strategies and tips. The book was very helpful, though. The math examples are also pretty good in the variety of questions that are shown.
